The Every Day Math program has developed higher level
thinking skills at each grade.
The Language Arts program in the Red
Lion Area School
District includes the model of a reading
workshop. Our teachers are prepared to
help students choose books at their appropriate level and to provide
instruction so that the comprehension levels will increase.
The Kid-writing program in Kindergarten through grade 2
creates a strong foundation for the writing that will continue in grades 3-6
Students are actively involved in our school through Student
Leadership Council, Student Helpers, Peer Mediation, Peer Tutoring, televised
morning announcements, chorus, instrumental music, and intramural sports.
The connection between school and home is seen through the
active PTO. This active group of parent
volunteers gives hours of service that results in the scheduling of special fun
activities for students, field trips, assemblies, and enrichment programs.
Student achievement and growth are recognized throughout the
year. Students are recognized monthly with the Principal’s Award for
Leadership. Another group of children
have the opportunity to eat lunch with Mrs. Dunham with our two programs “First
Graders Read” and “Students Reading and Sharing”.
At the end of each marking period, we salute the students
with the SOAR award (Students’ Outstanding Actions Recognition) and the
Principal’s Honor Roll.
Year-end rewards include the Academic Star and Academic
