SUCCESS COMES WHEN WE ALL PULL TOGETHER.

This phrase is a theme for the staff at Mazie Gable Elementary School. We are proud of our students and the achievement they demonstrate. As a staff, we are working to make positive connections with each student while providing positive role models.

Children work hard on academics, focusing on Math and Language Arts.
The Every Day Math program has developed higher level thinking skills at each grade.

The Language Arts program in the Red Lion Area School District includes the model of a reading workshop. Our teachers are prepared to help students choose books at their appropriate level and to provide instruction so that the comprehension levels will increase.

The Kid-writing program in Kindergarten through grade 2 creates a strong foundation for the writing that will continue in grades 3-6

Students are actively involved in our school through Student Leadership Council, Student Helpers, Peer Mediation, Peer Tutoring, televised morning announcements, chorus, instrumental music, and intramural sports.

The connection between school and home is seen through the active PTO. This active group of parent volunteers gives hours of service that results in the scheduling of special fun activities for students, field trips, assemblies, and enrichment programs.

Student achievement and growth are recognized throughout the year. Students are recognized monthly with the Principal’s Award for Leadership. Another group of children have the opportunity to eat lunch with Mrs. Dunham with our two programs “First Graders Read” and “Students Reading and Sharing”.
At the end of each marking period, we salute the students with the SOAR award (Students’ Outstanding Actions Recognition) and the Principal’s Honor Roll.
Year-end rewards include the Academic Star and Academic All-Star Awards.

Creating a warm, inviting learning environment where all students find success is the goal of our school.
